Alongside its standard colors, the LAMY Safari has appeared in a long sequence of Special Editions. The presentation has evolved from a single signature color in many early years to coordinated multi-color collections, particularly since the 2019 Pastel collection.
The main timeline focuses on annual colors documented across multiple markets. Regional, retailer-exclusive, and collaboration editions appear separately below.

From one annual color to collections
Through roughly 2018, many releases centered on one signature color per year. Since the 2019 Pastel collection, coordinated groups of colors have become more common. We therefore record release year and collection name separately.
The same name can identify a different model
Names such as Aquamarine have been reused in different years. When the year, finish, parts, or market scope differ, this archive keeps the release as a separate model record.
About the color diagrams
The diagrams separate the nib, grip, ring, barrel, cap, clip, and cap top using official material, retailer photography, owner photographs, and direct observation. On-screen colors are references rather than exact reproductions and will vary with photography and display conditions.

This early Special Edition was sold in Japan as Orange. Cross-checking specialist references and surviving examples supports its identification as the 2004 Orange “Flame,” with a red cap top and black ring. The color diagram shows a silver nib as the representative configuration; surviving black-nib examples are discussed in the details.
This early Special Edition is documented with silver nibs in several sources, while black-nib examples also circulate. Because Safari nibs are easily replaced, we cannot yet determine whether these reflect replacements, point-size changes at sale, or regional or production differences. It is separate from the 2009 Orange.
